Turtle all the Way Down; John Green October 10th Young Adult Contemporary I adore John Green. And I know some people dislike his writing style or feel like his characters are not realistic (which I feel is more a reflection of themselves than the actual writing or narrative). But, I can not wait to read this book. I have been listening to John talk about it for years and am completely fascinated to see what this story has become. I also cried a little (just a little!) when I watched John read the first chapter .

Uncommon Type: some stories; Tom Hanks

October 17th

A collection of fictional short stories

I love Tom Hanks as an actor so of course I am excited to see what he is like as the creator of stories rather than portraying a story. The title comes from the fact that he is a collector of typewriters and has incorporated that device into each story. The audio-book will be read by Tom himself, so I plan to definitely listen to this book. I have also heard that many of the stories seem to be influenced by some of the iconic roles he has played.

Smitten Kitchen Every Day: triumphant & unfussy favorites October 24th Cookbook I love Deb and her Instagram story. Her s alted chocolate chunk cookies are a staple in my freezer and honestly the easiest way to make friends.

L'appart: The delights and disasters of making Paris my home; David Lebovitz November 7th Memoir When I lived in Paris David's blog was a light in the dim fog of culture shock. After I moved back his book, The Sweet Life in Paris,  was a nostalgic gem that I read as I mourned no longer living in Paris. Now, I live vicariously though his snapchat story daily. So obviously I am beyond excited for another book from him, and especially one that gives an intimate look into the journey of an American establishing their life in Paris.

Three Sides of a Heart December 19th Young Adult Short Stories As tired as love triangle stories are (especially in YA) they exist because as much as we hate them we also love them. Short story compilations are great to read around the holidays. I also love the idea of getting a taste of several YA authors writing, who I wouldn't normally read, in one book.
